Tax question: single, live in NY, make $50K a year. How much would I approximately have to pay in taxes?

I make $50K a year, plus $6 – 7K in overtime. How much would I approximately have to pay in both federal and state taxes when filing? I appreciate the help.
I also don’t pay rent cause I live with my parents. So, how does this factor into how much I’d have to pay in taxes?

  1. You make $56-57K, not $50K – overtime counts.

    Living with your parents only figures in if you are their dependent, which is VERY unlikely with that income.

    Your federal income tax for the year would be around $8400.
