What are some good buy opportunities for stocks during this recession?

Given that a lot of stocks are down at the moment, what are some good buy opportunities? I don’t want to buy stock that will keep going down and be worthless, but if there are some good buys now that are safe I’d like to invest in some. I can afford to wait a while if it means a good turnaround.

No load mutual funds and hold for the long term. Individual stock is too risky in this market.

  2. Aerospace, Boeing Co, General Dynamics Corporation, Lockheed Martin Corporation (Holding Company), Northrop Grumman Corporation, those usually have descent return over time. as times get harder we as a country will get into a scuff with some other power to boost our economy look at the past great global recessions. also get into Construction- EMCOR Group Inc,KBR Inc, The Ryland Group, Inc or u could try URS Corporation.

  6. Right now the danger is for companies to go belly up. When you choose a broker, make sure they are a member of the SIPC. This is like FDIC in case your broker goes under. What you are not protected with is if your mutual fund company goes under. I suggest mutual funds because then you are giving your money to a money manager who knows where to stick your money in a recession like this. Just make sure what ever company you pick, they are in good financial health. I use E*Trade for my broker and I invest in some Schwab funds.
