Okay, I know if you own stocks then you own a part of a company. . but why do this? What is the benifet? Does the value of the stock go up as time goes on? Or is it that the more stocks you have the more valueable ur share is? I don’t get why someone would own stocks? Explain please.

I you do your own taxes what program do you use?
If a professional does your taxes who?
Either way, how much does it cost you?
I use a professional CPA. I pay about $130 every year for his service. My family has used him for over 15 years.
It is interesting to see how many people us H&R Block. I have family and friends that have had very bad experiences with them.

It seems that young people would be better off if they learned the importance of saving and investing for their future rather than rather than blowing all their money on the here and now. A child is very lucky if they have financial guidance from family, but this is most often not the case.

We are a newlywed couple who are both starting new jobs. This is actually a two part question, pertaining to taxes.
1) To you married answerers out there, is it usually better to file jointly or single? What are some of the advantages/disadvantages, and what should we consider before making a decision.
2) When it comes to a new job and filling out the W-4 Tax Form, what are some of the options usually selected if planning to file jointly?
