Do you feel like Gold is the only safe investment out there? Right now the US government has lowered the interest to around. . . oh I don’t know. . . . ZERO!!! I would think that commodities would go through the roof if the dollar continues to spiral downwards in 2009. Silver is also undervalued and should have a huge upside in comparison to Gold. Anyways, where are you investing in during these tough economic times?

Can you resume your auto insurance policy one it was canceled? ok it was canceled 5 months ago I wasn’t using the car so I didn’t need insurance at a moment. Now I am planning on using the car again. Can I just call them and ask them to send me a monthly fee and get insurance resumed or do I need to go to insurance place and talk to Insurance sales agent and pay $200 finders fee again? I don’t want to pay those fees again. Is there a way to resume my insurance without those extra fees. I am a California resident.

I have some prospective tenants who have dogs, one of which is a Pitt bull. Even though these particular dogs may be gentle, the fear is that if they get out and injure someone, I, as the property owner could be held responsible.
I am wondering if the following options are wise and if there are other options I am unaware of:
Increased liability insurance.
Have tenant sign a document stating that they alone are responsible for their dogs.

I belong to the women’s group at my church. This group has existed for decades. It used to have a board with a president and a treasurer, along with its own checking account and mutual fund. It used to hold fund-raising events, accept grant proposals from various organizations, issue grant checks, and report its financials to the church annually. However, it was never incorporated as a non-profit. People just keep saying that it was “under the umbrella” of the church, which assumed liability and filed all the tax paperwork. The previous board let everything fall apart, so a clergy woman stepped in and appointed a “leadership team” to revitalize the women’s group. Now, all of a sudden, the church is telling us that this “under the umbrella” relationship isn’t legal and that we need to fork our funds over to them. I don’t understand what’s going on. Could someone please clarify?
